{paint swatch dressing room}

I usually try to avoid dressing rooms at all costs if I'm shopping by myself with my little guy.  The hassle of "trying on" clothes just is not worth it with an active toddler. However, I might make an exception if I ran into this unbelievably cute dressing room at a boutique.

I can't think of too many rooms that could pull off this paint swatch look. But a dressing room fits the bill perfectly.

Hope y'all have an amazing weekend!

{design board: Classic Neutral Guest Bath}

This guest bathroom design board is full of classic charm! The design is centered around a palette of soft grays, browns, and whites with touches of brass accents throughout the space. It's the perfect blend of timeless elegance!

{design board:: coastal contemporary living room}

My latest design board is a combination of casual coastal style meets contemporary cool.  We used loads of interesting textures: linen, seagrass, leather, brass, weathered wood, marble, and burlap just to name a few!  The various textures give much needed visual interest to this collected space. This living room is right off the foyer of my client's vacation beach house, and is quite small.  We didn't have much space to work with, but the clients entertain here a lot so we tried to maximize the options for seating people with the sofa, matching chairs, and casual leather poufs.  Hoping this fresh, new beach-y palette creates the perfect space for my clients to entertain in for years to come!

{room love: tracery interiors}

Everyone once in a while I come across a room that is so absolutely perfect I wouldn't change a thing.  It doesn't happen often (usually I can always find something I would do differently "if it were my room."  But one look at this gorgeous living room space below by Tracery Interiors and I am swooning.  Tracery Interiors is known for their neutral, zen-feeling interiors, but this one in particular just speaks to me on every level! My only complaint is I want to see more views of this wonderful space!

{design board:: eclectic tween room}

This design board was a real treat for me. Rarely do I ever get to have this much fun with punchy colors & patterns for a client! My client wanted her daughter's room to have a "anthropolgie" look & feel.  So we mixed and matched lots of patterns/colors to create the perfect masterpiece of eclectic style for this young pre-teen girl's bedroom.   Of course, the beautiful floral rug is the real centerpiece of the whole room! We surrounded the rug with lots of great, timeless furniture pieces & accessories that can carry her through her high school years and well into her young adult life!

Now this is floral wallpaper I could get on board with....is it not the prettiest thing you've ever seen?  Perfect punch of color for a small powder bath!

{bead board...yay or nay?}

One of the houses we are favoring from house hunting last week has bead board everywhere. It's an older farmhouse but has some modern updating.  The previous owner was a carpenter, and let's just say...he must have gotten a good deal on the bead board.  It's floor to ceiling  (it might even be on the ceiling...I can't remember...) in 3 or 4 rooms. Not sure I'm crazy about it (it looks so unfinished right now...and it makes all the rooms look extra dark with all the wood tones) but I think given a fresh coat of paint, it could grow on me.  I mean it is a farm house after all, and given the fact that we could have horses in our back yard, I know Mr. Cattlebuyer would be happy!

{design board:: toddler boy bedroom}

Finally got my favorite little guy's design board completed! As you can see, it's got a touch of  western which should go well with some of his original nursery stuff (kinda forgotten what I even have because its been in storage so long!) I think the style will suit him well! I stuck with mostly vintage, timeless looking furniture pieces, which will make it easier to change up the textiles when his tastes and interests change down the road.  I'm really hoping this furniture scheme can take him from toddlerhood through his early teenage years with just a few tweaks here and there! I know little boys really don't care too much about what their rooms look like anyways-- but here's to hoping I can please him for a little while!

Happy Thursday!!

{designer love:: Hanna Seabrook}

Hi Friends!!!
 Hope your week is going great... I'm getting a little late start due to traveling.  But I'm happy to report our house hunting trip went really well.  It's so surreal walking through a town knowing this is where you are going to do life!  We've waiting for this time for sooo long, and now it's finally happening.  Super exciting!

Anyways, today I'm sharing with you the historic home of Hanna Seabrook, creative founder of GADABOUT.  She is seriously cute as pie, and her style is absolute perfection as far as I'm concerned.  I discovered her through Glitter Guide's Style at Home blog and I'm so glad I did...she's definitely one to remember! Please check out Glitter Guide's original post to find out more about Hanna and her gorgeous abode.
