{design board:: dining room + entry}

It's been a busy couple months since starting up my online interior design consultations in August!

I recently just finished up working with another wonderful client on her open concept, dining room & entry way.  My client had the main pieces (dining table (similar but not the same as the one used above), chairs, buffet, and chandelier) but just needed help furnishing the entry and giving the room that finished, polished look.  We drew inspiration from the color palette used in her adjacent great room: neutrals with hints of navy blue, turquoise, and sage green.  We started by adding warm texture through area rugs, and added gold metal accents to add a touch of sparkle and to break up all the hard wood surfaces in the room.  We added a demilune console table and upholstered entry bench to her foyer, along with some fantastic artwork and accessories to add a punch of color.  As for the dining room, I suggested adding a tall mirror above her buffet piece to help draw attention to her beautifully tall 12' ceilings, as well as pair of simple buffet lamps.   We added a pair of casual, yet elegant wing back style chairs next to the dining table to complete the casual yet sophisticated look.

Thanks again to all my wonderful clients!
