Finally Friday!!!!


 We are sooo excited my mom is coming to stay with us for 5 days.....it will be great to have her help with wedding details. I'm hoping we can get quite a bit done while she is here!


I have about 5 minutes before Cash wakes up from his nap, so here's a quick peek at stuff i'm loving....


have you guys checked this place out? i LOVE all the funky, unique merchandise they carry.  I love how they are all such conversation pieces, as well as functional objects. so neat, if i do say so myself.

where oh where has the week gone?

it seems as though it were just last wednesday.

here it goes again, this time i got a little help from some interior color combos....because there isn't anything i love more than drooling over pretty rooms. i find it easy to put fun colors together when i design rooms, but for some reason i have issues dressing myself in fun, funky color combinations.  i ALWAYS resort to black outfits, totally boring.... but i'm going to work on this in weeks to come!

{What I wore Wednesday}

this is my 1st attempt. 

Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy started this along time ago, and I had fun following what she and many other's in blogland wore throughout the week, I had no idea that i would join the club....but i thought what the heck it's worth a try!  Being a stay at home momma to a baby makes it a little tricky, because you know you are going to get spit up on, chewed on, pulled on, and many times it's hard to feel "pretty" at the end of the day.  Some days all I feel like wearing is my stretchy pants and a t-shirt, which I do, but this gives me an opportunity to try something different! It makes me work with what I have already in my closet, for example this week I found 3 pairs of jeans that I forgot I had.....being pregnant last year I really forgot about a lot of my fun stuff I used to wear.....so here it goes!

{cupcakes}

i always love a good excuse to make cupcakes

we made these cupcakes for valentine's day....i've been hording the red candy canes since christmas because i knew i wanted to try out this:

just put two candy canes in the oven at 350 degrees for about 3-4 minutes and wa-la! I don't think chance enjoyed them as much as i did...but they were sure cute! :)

I also made chocolate covered strawberries for chance.....turns out he didn't like them! i know right....?! I was surprised, he ate a few, but i was left with the rest of the bunch {oh shucks!} haha...i may have eaten a few or all of them. in my defense, some of the chocolate fell off before i ate them!

Hope you all enjoyed yesterday, i know it's just a hallmark holiday, but it is fun to do a little something special for your loved ones!

love is about trust and forgiveness and learning from past mistakes and moving along together instead of moving apart.

love is about growing together emotional and spiritually.

love is about putting the other persons needs before your needs and giving them the best you can possibly give.

love is taking care of the other person and looking out for them.

as every day passes, I learn something new about love and I hope that I will continue to learn and to experience this wonderful, crazy, little, big thing called love

i think valentine's day is about remembering to say to those around you those 3 little words.

i don't know about you...but every day i feel like i have 10 billion gazillion reasons to be happy.

i remember in college i was dating a guy who broke up with me because i laughed too much.....seriously! obviously we WERE NOT meant to be. 

so thankful i am surrounded by people in my life who let me be me.

 life is too short to not laugh out loud every day. 

{ we seriously have a town called "Happy, Texas" right north of us! so cool! }

Looking back at newborn photos tonight......

My baby boy...he has changed soooo much in 4 months, its unbelievable! He fills out all of his outfits, smiles, coos, and can just about sit up on his own. Trying to take in every second of every day because I know some day I will look back and want these days back....
