{design board: colorful master suite}

I love people who aren't afraid of color...if you can't tell by this design board, these clients LOVE color.

This bright and cheery color scheme was pulled directly out of one of the home owner's favorite piece of artwork.  We added a few more pieces to her collection {do you recognize those acorns?} to complete the gallery art wall which will sit behind the tufted chairs.  The bedding was a happy accident, containing all the colors found in the artwork.  The bedding is a bold floral print so to tone down the "busy-ness" we paired the bedding with a simple white duvet which will unify the bed.  The bed frame is a nod to the architecture of the home owner's house a old 1930's country farmhouse.    The classic furniture choice will reflect the charming character of the home.  The bed will be flanked by two matching dressers for added storage (dressers are a great alternative to small nightstands) since we all know how little the closets are in old homes and two silver polished urn lamps will provide additional bedside lighting.  The wood floors will be blanketed with two turquoise blue area rugs and the windows draperies will be treated with a neutral geometric print. (i love mixing prints....) For extra seating at the end of the bed will sit a plush bench and in the corner will sit a pair of tufted chairs. A few fun pillows in olive green and fuchsia pink and a funky wire framed chandelier will complete the look of the space!

Hope you all are having a great Tuesday, I woke up to find out that I am an aunt again today!
So excited to see my new niece! :)

I'm going to try and share my "junkin" find later today, stay tuned!
