{botanical master suite}

I featured this room design a few months ago, I just hadn't gotten the opportunity to put all the pictures together on a board.

This master suite is in an older remodeled home, so although it's called a "master" it's really quite small in comparision to the size of most master suites these days.  There is a medium sized sleeping area and then a smaller area (what used to be another bed room) for a reading/office area which has french doors that lead out to a balcony overlooking the homeowners lush green backyard garden.  The walls will be painted in a netural grey color.  The true highlight of the room will be the queen sized pottery barn silver iron bed, which will have simple cotton white bed sheets.  Accent pillows in green will add a pop of color to the bed, without it appearing fussy and overdone (these homeowners are simple people).  The lounge will feature a smaller scale sofa and adjascent chair and ottamon combination.  The sofa will be done in a neutral linen  fabric (similar to the picture) and the chair will feature a different accent upholstery in a green geometric pattern.  Above the beautiful sofa will be a entire wall of gallery framed botanical prints.  The french doors will be framed out in a sheer off-white drapery treatment to soften the hard lines but still add another element of texture. A woven jute rug with lay on the wood floors for some great natural texture.   A pair of silver/gold round mirrors will hang on either side of the featured bed above a pair of matching side tables.  Of course there will be a few quirky accessories like some glass urns and a few live plants, and black and white prints  to complete the "botanical" feel of this master suite retreat.

Hope y'all have a fabulous Tuesday! Come see me tomorrow for WIWW! :)
