it's 80 degrees and sunny here and all i can think about is spring!

so today i thought i'd post my top 10 list of things i love for spring...

in no particular order....

drumroll please...

1. chevrons- graphic, bold, pattern. love everything about them.

2. chalkboards- a little bit old school and a little bit modern and unexpected....what's not to like?

 3. mustard yellow- cheerful, bright, fresh, and adds a pop of unexpected color.

4. stripes- a great illusion for any room, elongates, adds pattern and interest, can be bold and graphic using contrasting colors or subtle and elegant using complimentary colors....they simply look good in any room.

5. industrial light pendants- chunky, funky, and totally going to be a conversation piece in your kitchen. i especially love using these above kitchen islands.  they come in all different metal finishes, and fit in just about the most contemporary of homes to the most country of homes, very timeless.

6. all white kitchens- something seems so clean and fresh about all white kitchens.  they give you a blank slate to go in whatever direction you choose.  this is great for the person whose style is constantly changing because by simply changing out the accessories, the kitchen will transform with time.

 7. ruffles - really? just ask chance...i'm OBSESSED with ruffles. they add texture, femininity, and charm. (recommend using in small doses as to not upset the men in your life...)

 8. grey- or is it gray? either way....its my go-to color right now.  light or dark it's a neutral that will be sure to stick around a while!

9. clear lamps- i especially love these from target of all places! love how they reflect light and can go with anything and everything since you aren't tied to a particular color.
these may or may not be an item we registered for.... :)

10. open shelving- yes, i realize it's not always practical (ugh...dusting!)....but it's gorgeous way to display your beautiful dishes. and handy too!

what are you loving this upcoming season?
